Annual Fire Alarm System Inspection

Fire alarm inspection includes a complete functional test of the control panel and all related circuits. Control panel switches, lights, and wiring terminations will be checked and batteries will be load tested. All detection circuits, manual pull stations, and water flow/tamper switches, and audio/visual (notification) devices will be tested. All smoke detectors, heat detector, and duct detectors will be tested and cleaned. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Annual Fire Sprinkler System Inspection

All control valves will be exercised and sealed. Water pressure will be recorded including residual pressure during a main drain flow test. All inspectors test valves will be exercised, and water flow alarms will be confirmed. The fire sprinkler riser will be inspected for signage, valve positions and a stocked spare sprinkler head box. All visible distribution piping will be inspected for corrosion and visible sprinkler heads inspected for discharge blockage and foreign material. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Semi-Annual Kitchen Hood System Inspection

Kitchen hood detection and suppression systems have preventative maintenance performed on a semi-annual basis. A visual inspection of the system is done looking for proper coverage of the nozzles, making sure that they are spaced properly for the current set up, verifying that there are no obstructions to the flow of agent at release, and checking the agent distribution piping for damage or corrosion. Agent tanks are inspected for agent quantity and checked for required internal work (hydrostatic test) date. System control panel is inspected and maintained for proper set up and functionality. The detection system is then checked for proper operation and all fusible links and replaced. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Annual Sprinkler Fire Pump Test and Inspection

The Annual test of the Electric/Diesel Fire Pump will be conducted under minimum, rated and peak flows of fire pump by controlling the quantity of water discharged. The test will be conducted using the available suction water supply. Pump suction and discharge pressures measurements will be used to determine the total pump output. The fire pump and associated control equipment will be energized, and suction water will be flowed for the time required to take the required measurements and meet the requirements of the test. Water drainage and effects from water run off can be an environmental and safety hazard and is the responsibility of the owner to manage and maintain. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Annual Room Integrity Test (Door Fan Test)

Room Enclosure Inspection: At least every 12 months, the enclosure (room/area) protected by the Clean Agent will be thoroughly inspected to determine if penetrations or other changes have occurred that could adversely affect the systems ability to maintain concentrations for a minimum time period for the hazard. The inspection indicates conditions that exist that could result in the inability to maintain the clean agent concentration. A Door fan test will be completed to verify the integrity of the protected area to hold the Clean Agent. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Five Year Internal Valve Inspection

Alarm Valve and their associated strainers, filters and restriction orifices will be internally inspected every 5 years. The water supply to the Alarm Valve will be isolated and the Alarm Valve will be internally accessed using the recommended manufactures procedure to provide a means to visually inspect the internal components. All components will be inspected to verify that they operate correctly, move freely and are in good condition. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Initial Central Station Monitoring Set-up and Programming

One time fee to complete the programming of the existing Digital Dialer and set-up the Central Station Monitoring account. Set-up includes Digital Dialer Programming of the existing Alarm, Supervisory and Trouble reporting points from the existing Fire Alarm Control System. Responsible Party and Priority Call List to be established with the Owner. Testing of the Fire Alarm/Digital Dialer to ensure points are received properly at the Central Station

Annual Backflow Valve Test and Inspect (Domestic ½” – 2”)

Complete the inspection and functional testing of a Backflow Check Valve. This includes a visual inspection and a mechanical test to insure the Backflow Valve is in good operating condition and is operating within the correct parameters. If the Backflow Valve initial test indicates it is operating out of spec, the Valve will be disassembled, inspected, cleaned, re-assembled and re-tested for proper operation. If the Backflow Valve does not operate within the required parameters repairs will be required. Additional materials and labor for repairs are an additional cost. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Annual Fire Hydrant Test and Inspect

Fire Hydrant will be visually inspected for proper components and general operating condition. The valve will be fully exercised and flow test will be performed. Flow readings will be taken and recorded and a Hydrant flow test will be calculated and the results will be noted. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.

Annual AFFF Foam System Inspection

The Annual AFFF Foam-Water Sprinkler Operation test will be conducted to ensure that the System responds as designed, both automatically and manually. The test procedures will simulate anticipated emergency events so the response of the system can be evaluated. Where discharge from the discharge devices would create hazardous conditions or create damage to the facilities or products being protected, alternate methods will be applied to complete the operational testing. Testing and Inspection will be completed for, response time, discharge time, discharge patterns, pressure readings, concentration testing. After completion of the testing the system will be returned to service and the foam concentrate tank shall be replenished to the designed level. The facility is responsible for having stocked foam concentrate available on site for replenishment. A final report based on the NFPA requirements will be completed detailing the results of the test and will be delivered and reviewed with the Owner in timely manner.
